Starting your Capsule without the Overwhelm

So we all know the benefits of a Capsule Wardrobe.

Save money by buying less but better - great. We love that!
Have a personal style that makes you feel AH-Ma-ZING about yourself - heck yeah I want that!
Starting your day with a sense of calmness - YES! Life is stressful enough.

But you start going through your closet and KonMari the sh*t out of it. Only keeping pieces that "spark joy". But now you're stuck with a bunch of hero pieces and....no style, and you need to buy a bunch more clothes.

Capsule Wardrobes are awesome (I mean....you're here right) but it's not just about tossing everything. It's about choosing your pieces with intention that fit with your personal style.

Remember the 3 FITS? Fit your LIFESTYLE Fit your BODY and Fit your Vibe?

But just like we need our main characters, we also need our supporting characters.

You need supporting characters in your wardrobe too.
So who are your super heroes? These are the garments your grab when I say what would you wear if you were:

- Hanging out with the girls
- Going to work
- Going on a date

No context, what would you grab? These are your HERO pieces. But you need some SIDEKICK pieces that mix well with all three. These babies make up the bulk of your wardrobe. They are the tank tops that you wear all the time, your boring black pants but work with almost everything.

HERO pieces give you the bones, SIDEKICK pieces are the muscle.

Sidekick clothes don't have to be boring! They just have to work with your hero pieces. So if you love prints, have your HERO piece be the standout print and your SIDEKICK be the more subtle print.

Love colour? Have your HERO pieces super vibrant and your SIDEKICKS a complimentary colour.

Starting to catch my drift?

No two people are exactly alike. Don't get caught up on the number of pieces in your wardrobe, what you "should have" because it's going to be different for everyone.

HOW YOU START:
Define your Personal MUST-HAVES these will be your HERO pieces. Work your way out from there.

If you don't know what looks good on you or how to start, ease into it with our Style Journal and get more confident in your personal style before you start tossing.
