1) Establish the importance.
Having a fight with your spouse or friend? Try playing this game. On the count of three both parities yell out the level of importance of the argument using a scale of 1- 10. If the other party yells out a 9 and it only resonates with you as a 3 then maybe you let them win the argument.
2) Talk about it.
You’re not the only one who’s been through this experience. Reach out to those in your community and see what they did and how the situation unfolded.
3) Stay calm.
It’s really easy to get overwhelmed by emotions during times of high stress or discomfort. Stay calm, you think better. Go to the gym, drink tea, take a walk, whatever you have to do to go into the situation with a level head.
4) Reward yourself.
This may not be the easiest season or day in your life but when whatever it is you’re dealing with is over, reward yourself for coming out the other side. You did amazing and you deserve to give yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishment.
These seasons will come around again, what will you do differently in the future? What did you do well & what could have gone better.
